Dr. Hovind Replys to Questions & Comments

Burke Thornburg:
It was likely 10 years ago in I met you during a break at the Holiday Inn in Portland,Or., My son as well, and he gave you a plastic rubber-band shooter that
could rapid fire. He is now 20yrs old and in school for being a
fire-fighter. He is very strong in his desire to evangelize and
credits the foundation in part laid by your ministry and boldness.
We have a inquiry for you which I use at the community college
where I work, and it brings angst from the sciences professors when
I bring it up. So I wanted to run it by you as to how accurate I
may be. I say that the table of geologic time originated in the
mid-1800?s and as the ages were assigned to it by committee, then
it would be a nice little class project to have students re-assign
“the ages” to the columns, then show how they can be validated (as
such) by the radiometric methods available today… that since there
are so-many-selections to go from all that matters is are ages
assigned by committee, and there is no actual dating of rocks
without the assumptions. It is essentially of no-value unless you
simply want it to have value. Stay fit, we love ya. Burke and
Mitch

KH:
Thanks for the kind words about the impact of the ministry on your
son! Please spread the videos everywhere! I cover the geologic
column on seminar part 4 and 6. There is a great video showing
multiple layers forming simultaneously in moving water there as
well. I suggest you show this video to the profs to get their
reaction. It was done by a Frenchman names Guy ?????. Also show
them the polystrate fossil trees etc found all over the world! The
geologic column is a cruel joke to make people doubt the Bible. The
flood of Noah caused nearly all those layers in less than one year.

This is
the first E mail I have ever sent asking or talking to someone
other then Business stuff, so this is really different for me MR
Doctor Kent Hovind . I have watched and listened to a lot of your
work and really enjoy the way you speak , I was wondering about how
long do you feel in your heart or gut it will be until Jesus is to
return on this earth ? Not asking for a date of even a year just an
idea as to when you feel our best buddy will be back to have a good
time for ever? A lot or most of my friends and co workers talk
about this or I say stuff like I feel like his return is near but
what I here is the same answers , they get upset , say not for a
long time , or deny it , or they say people have been predicting
his return for a long time and not to worry about it and who knows
. the same stuff over and over but some say it is near . So how do
I go about with fact and bible verses to tell people, so I can do
what ‘s got to be done WORD UP!

KH:
Thanks Michael, I’ve had to change my
position on this topic in the last two years. I have a gut feeling
the 7 years starts next year and we get raptured out 7 yrs later if
we survive. We are NOT here for the WRATH of God ( href="http://read.ly/1Thess5.9.KJV">I Thes. 5:9; href="http://read.ly/2Thess1.9.KJV">II Thes. 1:9- href="http://read.ly/2Thess1.10.KJV">10; etc), but we
will be here for the tribulation. I’m writing a book on that now
but Roland Rasmussen, pastor of Faith Baptist in Canoga Park, CA
has a great one out now. Hope this helps.

Michael Hood Angel
Hello
Dr. Hovind I have just recently watched all seven of your videos
and a few of your debates, I would just like to say that you’ve
done awesomely at what I’ve always wanted to do which is to find
all the solid evidence of creation, that I always thought should be
easily seen, understood, and explained. And you’ve done that and in
doing so cleared a lot up for me. I’ve known about the Lord from
being taught in a Seventh Day Adventist church, and public school
presented evolution to me for about just as long. I have always
felt doubtful about the so called evidence brought up for evolution
but in high school it almost overwhelmed me. But almost three years
ago now I ran across someone named J Walter Vieth from north or
south Africa and he explained the NWO and showed undeniable
evidence of Its existence that the Jesuits, pope, Masons, and all
the secret organizations of the world left themselves through
actions in history and qoutes and all that good stuff that reveals
the deception going on in this world. You gave me a quick review of
the NWO and I can say they both your messages and Revelations are
almost perfectly in tune with each other. I would like to know what
you think of the Sabbath, do you believe it was changed to Sunday
biblicaly, or do you just disagree with going to church on Saturday
because its a day of rest? I do think its OK to go and worship any
day but the Sabbath is something special to show that Its Gods law
that we obey not mans law. Where are you are coming
from?

KH:
Thanks, I love the stuff I have seen of
Walter Vieth! I disagree about the Sabbath though and cover that a
little on Seminar Part 7. The Sabbath was never a day of worship
but of rest. Only in the 1,000 year reign will it be a day of
worship. The Sabbath never changed to Sunday. Saturday was/is a day
to commemorate the creation and Sunday is the day the early church
met on to commemorate the resurrection. Bible Baptist Bookstore in
Pensacola has a great (though harsh) booklet titled “Why I am Not a
Seventh Day Adventist.” J. Vernon McGee also did a great booklet on
the topic years ago. I’d suggest you start there.
In
Christ,
KH

Legna Hi,
1. I would like
to know how can we know how Jesus Christ looked like? DO we have
evidence about how He looked like? 2. Mr. Hovind, did you see
Walter Veith’s seminars about evolution, the book of revelation and
nutrition? On my blog i have posted Walter Veith’s work as ”Grade
5: The Hidden History Of The Human Race – Facts Vs. Fictions” ….
every seminar is about 90 minutes… If you have the opportunity to
watch them (every day one seminar) please do so.. I would like to
know your opinion on his work(seminars).. please watch them in
their order(from nr1 , 2, 3 etc) because its important… 75% of his
work is about the explanation of the book of Daniel and book of
revelation thank you and God bless you P.S. i have also your work
embedded on my blog and i spread the word about it and also a bunch
of other documentaries about different topics… everything 100%
documented

KH:
1. We have no clue what He looked like
other than “there was no form nor comliness that we should desire
Him” Is. 53 *** check ref and wording **** and Judas had to pick
him out of the crowd with a kiss so He did not have long hair or
look different from other Jews of His day. 2. I love Veith’s
material except strongly differ on the SDA issue! I cannot watch
videos on line here. Many SDA do go a little crazy on
vegetarianism. Jesus ate lamb and fish with his disciples and the
OT law ordered part of the bullocks offered to be given to the
priest to eat. I don’t fight them over this. I’ll be glad to eat
the meat they don’t want! HA! As for Daniel and Rev. I’m writing a
book on that now and will produce a video series when I get out
(soon I hope!- We have 4 appeals in now) Hope this helps.

    …………..

    Re – Michael Hood Angel:

I agree that the early Christians congregated on the first day of the week, but then they also congregated on every other day too. As Worshiping God is something that should never stop.

Acts 2:46-47 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, (47) Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Yet, if there is one significant day out of our seven day week that God would have us Remember, to keep it Holy (Exodus 20:8), according to Scripture it can only be the Seventh…

I have not read the Baptist booklet “Why I am Not a Seventh Day Adventist”, but I suspect I would stand with the Baptists on this one.
    ……

It seems that most churches follow the Roman lead and remember the first day instead.
Do you think that this could be the mixing of Iron and Clay in the feet of the image as described in Dan 2:43?
When I read this chapter I note that the Iron in the legs and the feet (I believe is Rome) is unbroken from the legs through to the toes. That is to say that Rome (the Iron) continues from its inception (right after the belly and thighs of brass) right up to the end where Jesus (the rock) smashes the image.

I look at history through to today, and see that Rome once a great military power has now mixed itself with the people pretending to be Christian, and still exerts great power and influence over the nations & leaders through its spiritual weight.

Without a doubt the fact that Rome wishes to portray itself as the Head of the Christian Church (without acknowledging a Biblical Gospel) indisputably shows its full focused intentions to deceive Gods People.

Well these are my thoughts anyway,

As a former altar boy, I can attest Roman Catholic churches also have communion services on every day of the week. We had 3 masses Monday thru Saturday and 9 or 10 on Sunday. If that has changed, it is likely due more to a shortage of priests than a change of doctrine.

    Hi Geno,

I’m sorry if you are offended by my posts, I only mean to highlight issues as I see them to be correct, and I certainly never mean to make any personal attacks upon any individual.

My comments upon the Roman Church are based upon my belief of the truth found in scripture, and my observations that the truth of scripture can easily be observed in the world around us.

As you profess to be a Roman Catholic would you therefore hold to some form of a belief (If I may presume such a thing) that Jesus in his least form was “a loving man”.

If so, then note that in the scriptural account Jesus pulled no punches when describing the religious people of the day that he disagreed with.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things?
    An evil and adulterous generation
    Ye fools and blind:
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

I found these quotes in Matthew very quickly, I am confident that given time I could find quite an extensive list of comments describing the religious in less than favourable terms.

And Again, Note Jesus’ reaction when it was pointed out that his words did indeed offended…

Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:12-14)

So am I saying that Jesus was an uncaring man? Certainly not, Jesus spoke the truth, but nature of truth can be “offensive” and at times, and when spoken with passion, as Jesus spoke, “brutal”.

How about a nice quote that we remember that He actually did care?
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (Luke 23:34)

Please understand that I have absolutely no axe to grind with any Roman Catholic individual on the grounds of them being a Roman Catholic.

I would gladly spend some time with Joseph Ratzinger, I might discuss with him my issues with his Job as Pope, and the Roman organisation that he presently heads. But I would like my main focus to be to treat him like any other human being and hope to bring him to a point where he would repent of his sins and accept the Free Gift of Salvation by Grace through the Blood of Christ Alone. And thus he would turn his back upon the works based method that he presently endorses.

I hope therefore you would understand that my comments and rants about the Roman Church are not so much meant to be attacks upon the Roman Catholic People but my attempts to highlight the issues and differences between the Roman Church and Scripture (as far as their Christian Qualifications are concerned), and that according to scripture a True Christian should see a strong need to separate themselves from the Roman organisation.

Incidentally when I am held to account for my Christian Faith by atheists etc, I find that a great deal of my work in explaining my position and beliefs goes into explaining that I am a Christian NOT a Roman Catholic, because Christianity is held to account for all the hideous crimes of the crusades, inquisition and support/co-operation with the NAZI party; because people believe that the Roman Catholic Church is actually Christian.
Why do I have to answer for the crimes of the Roman Church?
The Roman Church according to scripture is simply NOT Christian.
There is so much more I would say on this subject but my posts are long enough already.

I am truly sorry if my position offends you, but I have never meant anything personal against you. We disagree on many points upon this Blog and thus occasionally we make comments relating to what the other has said.

But I will say this of you, I truly believe you to be sincere in your position and your beliefs …Fundamentally in Error in many ways…. But honest enough to speak your beliefs as you see them to be true.
If you therefore find I come across as a “hateful bigot”, then I admire you for being honest enough to say so….

Thanks for giving me the feedback, I hope that even though we disagree we can at least continue with such honesty and maybe a little more understanding of the others position.

Lots of Genuine Love (For your Honesty in being straight with me)

    Hey Dr Kent Hovind!!

I was watching a tv progamme the other night called “Animals that defy Evolution” and thought I would share with you what I learnt!

    1) Giraffes have valves in their neck that close when they are bending down to drink water. There is a little ‘sponge’ at the base of their brain which holds the blood. When they lift their necks back up, the valves open again to start the blood flow back up. And the sponge releases the blood to the brain.

    2) The woody Woodpecker closes its eyes when peaking because the force is so great, its eyes would otherwise pop out. To get its meal from the hole, the Woodpecker has a sharp end to its tongue to ‘grab’ its meal. The tongue also has glue on it to hold the insect on the tongue, and the Woodpeckers saliva dissolves the glue so it can eat its meal without its tongue sticking to its mouth.

    3) The Australian Incubator Bird is the coolest though because the male builds a nest, which is actually a HUGE mound of leaves, dirt and anything else it finds. So big, you could jump on it and get lost! The female then lays 1 egg, every 3 weeks for 7 months (poor female). The nest has to be kept at 91 degrees Fahrenheit and at around 99% humidity for the eggs to survive. The male does this by checking the nest during the day and adjusting it accordingly. When the eggs hatch, the babies have to find their own way out, and can take up to 3 days. They then fend for themselves and know exactly what to eat, how to find it and the male knows how to build it’s own nest. The parents don’t teach then anything, they just know!

All of these animals prove that a brilliant designer created them. They couldn’t have happened by ‘chance’. We hope you enjoyed reading this.

Thanks for your awesome creation seminar dvds. We are constantly watching them.
    Godbless,
your brother and sister in Christ,
    Andrew and Phoebe :)

    Jason:
It is true that believing in creation is not a prerequisite for salvation, I believed in evolution (as per my school indoctrination) for a long time as a young Christian yet I was still saved.

However, if you believe in the words of Christ then you should take care that you are not deceived.

“And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.”
    (Luke 21:8)

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
    (Matthew 24:24)

When Jesus talked about deceptions he said we should take heed that we be not deceived, and that there would come deceptions that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I wonder therefore, how many people have had their faith in the Whole of Word of God destroyed by the deception of evolution?

I would also say therefore that knowing the difference between a correct doctrine upon salvation and a false one is very important, if that is ‘one’ wishes to be (and stay) saved.

    Lots of Love

I am using the video tapes to lead a Sunday School class in a Presbyterian Church on Creation vs Evolution. We are on tape 4 and this morning one of the members who is struggling with total belief in creationism brought up that Dr. Hovind was in prison for tax evasion. I was unaware of this and answered that the devil will use all means to silence the Word of GOD. I can tell that the comment caused confusion in other members. I would like for Dr. Hovind to answer this in a way that I can share with the class next Sunday. Thanks.

What a ministry you’ve been given. Praise God.

I’m not much of a blogger although I thoroughly enjoy reading the updates you’ve been giving. I’ve ministered to inmates through prison outreach programs but to actually be a living testimony as an inmate is truly unique.

I recently taught my Sr. High Sunday School class about the doctrine of Eschatology. You made it aware in a previous comment you don’t support the pretrib rapture. I don’t want to exegetically debate this issue but I do have some questions about your stand on this topic. What made you change your position? How do you see the Body of Christ enduring the tribulation since we’re not subject to God’s wrath? What has given you the feeling the tribulation will start within a year? I believe it’s every Christian’s duty to, as you said, keep one eye on the the news and one eye on the prophecies.

    God bless.

Hi Dr Dino, Warren all the way from sunny South Africa, I just want to thank you so much for changing my mind about evolution. I had a four hour “debate” with one of my closest friends about evolution, him being a Christian, me an athiest. We could not come to any compromise and he eventually brought up your name and convinced me to watch your seminars on creation. All it took was five minutes and I was blown away, needless to say I watched the entire dvd and the other six with in a few days. Soon afterwards my wife and myself gave our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ on the 16/12/2008 and what a journey it has been. I pray that while you are still in prison that our Lord can use you to reach the many people that are in there with you. Keep your shield up and when it gets too difficult to hold you’ve got all of us, your brothers and sisters in Christ to carry it for you.

I am, however, very concerned at your turn of stance on Pre-Tribulation rapture. I have read numerous books on the subject and have taught the subject numerous times at the church I pastor. Would you indulge me to read the following link? http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/1324_Will-the-Church-Go-Through-the-Tribulation-Part-1?q=pre-tribulation

Dear Dr Kent Hovind – Thank you so much for your ministry videos they have been really encouraging to me during a time of struggle when my faith has come under attack from friends regarding the whole evolution/fossils/lies issue. I can’t wait for your release from prison and I pray that the courts perform a re-trial, let you go and return to you all that the locusts have stolen. I believe that God will strengthen you because of it because if the devil wants you out of circulation that much he must really be scared of the work you are doing to bring God’s kingdom to fruition.

I know this is a big favor to ask but please consider it – when you are allowed back to do God’s work please can you organize a trip to the UK. There are thousands of Christians here who need to know that God created the universe and that evolution has no right to be anywhere near our textbooks let alone our Bibles. Please can you pray on it, find out if it is what God wants and send me a reply when you can. I would like to help you in your ministry anyway I can, I believe God wants to send me into the creation-science domain and dinosaurs and the Bible is one of my pet subjects. Please pray about visiting the UK to help free the Christians here from the devil’s grip of lies and deceit.

Jason buddy you see the problem with “faith alone” or bible alone will not make in athiest into a believer of christ they are in other words like Thomas they need prove just as you need prove in the bible what we catholic do can be backed up.

Fact is if you wanted to use science to test the supernatural gifts given to the saints believe me more athiests would become christans due to they are “converted” by what they see not what you hear.

But because you believe without faith…that is how Jesus would desire it but that is most times not the case

    @John Cline
Actually he’s in jail for being a tax protester. He says that there is no constitutional mandate for paying taxes (which is true). Besides God’s word instructs us to pay taxes to the government not to IRS. IRS was founded by the Federal Reserve which is a group of private bankers.

The wikipedia tries to make it seem like he’s a mafia or serious criminal.
I hope you won’t check your facts there.

  20. Geno February 16, 2011 2:47 am Reply

It shouldn’t be necessary to point this out, but the IRS is an agency of the Treasury Department which is an arm of the government. The claim the IRS isn’t the “government” is the equivalent of someone at the time of Jesus refusing to pay taxes to the local tax collector because he isn’t “Rome.”

Further, it falls to the Supreme Court, not the individual, to interpret the Constitution (Art. III Sec. 1). As far as I know, the Supreme Court holds it is constitutional for the IRS to act as the agent of the government in the collection of taxes.

(BTW, my opinion of Mr. Hovind’s legal situation is based on public records, not Wiki.)

    Dr. Hovind,

Not sure if you remember me, but I gave you a ride to the seminar in Salem, OR because the guy that was supposed to take you forgot you at the hotel. Anyway, I’m sorry you are in prison, brother. I hope you get out soon. I have been praying for you! I wanted to comment on the whole Pre/Post- Trib arguement. I through reading the scriptures believe in the post trib rapture as well. I really don’t understand why it’s such a big deal to believe that. I am a Baptist Christian and it’s a very frowned on view. I look at Exodus and the ten plagues as a type of the tribulation. Even though God’s wrath was upon the Egyptians, the Jews were safe in Goshen throughout the whole thing. People think a pre-trib rapture is a must, but I believe the scriptures teach (If you read them plainly) teach Christs return after the tribulation. Christ says it himself in Matthew 24. Getting off my soapbox, I hope to see you out and ministering again very soon!
